Railings on Concrete

Shadow Shot Sunday
October 2, 2011

Shadow Shot Sunday happens every Sunday. Folks from all over the world post their works and share. See more and find out how you too can participate at Hey Harriet's Photography.

Sitting at the Earth Angels Coffee Shop and Art Gallery in River Falls, WI. This sunny Friday morning lent itself to shadowy brilliance when the concrete steps seemed seamless, but the shadows knew better. Taken with the cell phone while waiting for a friend.

Cropped close-up (Click to enlarge)
I like the way the edges of the steps are washed out in the bright Autumn sun, and how sharp the images on the railing shadows were formed.

Have a great weekend and week ahead.

Peace

Oh, very nice. Like the monochrome look. And by the way, can I come to your place for breakfast? Don't forget the coffee.

I would dance in and out the lines of this shadow--if I could. In my condition, however, I'd probably trip, fall and injure myself badly! (Just kidding, Spadoman. You know me!)

FOR LOVE OF SHADOW

Tell your shadow that you love her,
Spurn your shadow, if you dare.
Keep your shadow out of darkness,
Keep her in the sun’s harsh glare!
