Photos From the Road

Just thought I'd post some photos from the past year or two taken on various trips across the country. I'll start with the Atlantic Ocean and end with the Pacific. I'll sandwich Lake Superior in between. Most of the pictures of state line signs are out West. I'll need to stop on my Eastern trips and take some photos.

Atlantic Ocean, Rhode Island coast

Just last week I went through Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. And on my trip South this Spring I managed Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas and Missouri. I don't know why I didn't stop and take sign photos.

Anyway, Busy times here at Spadoville. VA appointments, motorcycle buying, selling and refurbiushing and home renovation projects along with having family fun and reunion trips. Sorry I haven't had much time to get out and see your Blog creations. I apologize, but will tell you I think of my fellow Bloggers often and appreciate greatly your visits here to mine.

I'll leave you with another Dump and Shortcake Band tidbit. Click on the title of this post and you'll hear another song I wrote in the 1970's. It's called "B Model Blues" and the recording is from a live performance at the Duxbury Store in very rural East Central Minnesota. Here's more about the B Model Mack truck.

Peace to all

Great blues, great photos, great narrative. Really enjoyed this. I don't suppose you've ever clocked up your total mileage? Probably at least as far as from here to Venus, where I'm sure the ladies will welcome you as a latter-day Odysseus. Thanks, Spadoman. And peace.

Listening now. I need to learn my harmonica. I do love the blues.

Maybe you can ask for state line signs to be sent to you. The ones you've been to anyway unless you'll be back that way.

I could only get you Michigan or New York signs - if they post them right at the border anyway. I have never crossed a provincial border (except coming back to Ontario from the aforementioned). Well - I've crossed a few but only flying and there are no signs up there.

It's true that pictures are worth more than a thousand words. These are lovely.

Happy Trails.

Okay--the last one...they grow so fast, huh?

What a great grandad you make for those wee ones. (no pun intended--I am NOT rushin' things, honest!!)

Oh....and we do take photos of state signs. Plus we have this quirky thing for water towers. Don't ask about 'em though--himself lost bunches and lotsa when his puter went upsidedown. (yes, we've talked about backups NUMEROUS times...)

Oh....and...ummmmm.....
*ahem* NOT that I noticed that Iowa wasn't in that batch.
:-/
I mean...it's just Iowa.
Kinda a plain sign.

NOT.

Just stopping by to say hello. I have enjoyed seeing your photos here, most especially the last one - grandfather and grandchild and the mightiness of the ocean.

I have decided that my break from blogging will be permanent - at least for now - I needed to have a break as I had allowed it to take over. I have done some art and now some photography and have lots of family time.

I think of my friends from Blogland often, you are not forgotten and I wish you peace always.

We don't have neat state signs like you do - kind of boring really. Travelling is great and this time I've enjoyed exploring new places. I was thinking of you at the last full moon, Take care. Sue

I wish I'd stopped to do this when I traveled in the U.S.A. Very cool idea!
