Gabba Gabba Hey! (Whatever that means)
Shadow Shot Sunday originates in Queensland, Australia. You can see more fabulous Shadow Shots and find out how you can participate by going to the Hey Harriet Blog.
I’m home now, 1400 miles North and East of where I spent six weeks this Winter in New Mexico. As I do in my hometown of River Falls, WI, I like to hang out mornings in the local coffee shop and converse with others of near the same ilk.
The Black Cat Coffee Shop and Used Book Store in Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico, mentioned here earlier a number of times, has been a great place to sit and savor a freshly brewed cup o’ joe.
The back yard patio there has graced these pages before with the shadows created by the bright sun of the Southwestern USA.
I took these photos of this ladder that gives access to the roof. Not sure what the access is for, but it cast some great shadow shots as you can see.
There was a cold spell for about a week, but after that unseasonable stretch of cold snowy weather, the temperatures moderated and shot back up to their usual 60’s and 70’s. (That would 15 to 21 Celsius Mates). I hated to have to travel home, but it was time to go. I’ll return, possibly in May and also in September, and see how these shadows have changed in the months ahead.
Peace

I see a lot of people doing the shadow shots - I seem to be oblivious to shadows, and today, the clouds mean there are none. Boring.
Love this. Looks like a really nice day. I'm looking forward to shadows cast on anything other than snow!
Hope you're doing well!

I bet home feels a lot cooler than NM!

I love ladder shots Joe and these are wonderful .. the first one especially because I see it as a double sided ladder aiming for the roof and beyond : ) It must have been nice to spend that time there .. it sounds perfect ;-)
wonderful shadows, but my eye is caught by the glorious turquoise paint and chairs.
Great shadow shots. I am pleased that you enjoyed your travels and that you are safely home again.
These are great and it will be fun to see how the shadows change over the months ahead when you visit again! Now I'm craving coffee. Off to make one! :)
You're lucky you're in a warm and sunny country.
I am enjoying the sunny rays that sun invites every now and then.
Your shadows are so nice. Sunny day gave you great shots... Job well done.
Greetings from chilly Stockholm,

Peace from the men's room, again.
A wonderful play of shadow patterns from the rungs of the ladder! Love the different angles!

Nice SSs....the first is my fav! Love the chair and the table too!
I love the colors of the Southwest, so vibrant and sun enhanced, I bet you're really missing them right now. I'm waiting for a scrap of sun to shine so I can go work in my shop...still wearin' the long Johns, such is life in the Nor'lands, boy the snow in Michigan, got yard pictures from 'One Still Frame's' mom and they are still buried...I feel like Iowa is South of the Mason-Dixon, we lucked out this year...THANX to the Gods on this one.
Have a peace-filled sunny day friend!!!
