This post was especially powerful to me, as I have always wanted to have control, to keep bad things from happening, but you are right. We really have no control over certain events, and realizing that brings a certain peace. You write so well, I felt I was with you in the rain and wind, the sound of thunder ringing in my ears. What a glorious, and, my friend, you are the keeper of the sacred fire.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17564763971316563540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807994396764212014.post-48473544193810357562007-04-04T13:44:00.000-07:002007-04-04T13:44:00.000-07:00BEAUTIFUL!!BEAUTIFUL!!Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12052461149278894648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807994396764212014.post-9719949724052229872007-04-04T09:57:00.000-07:002007-04-04T09:57:00.000-07:00Always a good lesson at Round Circle.Always a good lesson at Round Circle.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09454344516994289843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807994396764212014.post-22470236868298020152007-04-04T07:36:00.000-07:002007-04-04T07:36:00.000-07:00I love Crows. to me the Crow is Odin's messenger. ...I love Crows. to me the Crow is Odin's messenger. In my own twisted "spirituality", I incorporate a bit of everything that appeals to me. For the Warrior within, it is Odin and Thor and St. Michael. For the pacifist, the Tao and Buddha. For forgiveness, both given and asked, Jesus. There is no thought involved in this, only feelings. By being quiet I can hear what is right.

Now, Brother, you are introducing me to a new path, one that dovetails nicely with Taoism. If things go well, I would love to come West this summer and experience your Lodge. It will or will not happen as it is meant to be.

d.deuddersunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01757971753925741976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807994396764212014.post-28313218772843918162007-04-04T05:30:00.000-07:002007-04-04T05:30:00.000-07:00well- on the bright side- hot chocolate and snuggl...well- on the bright side- hot chocolate and snuggling with your honey :)billiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16206096509976316141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3807994396764212014.post-23183623951989506722007-04-03T20:46:00.000-07:002007-04-03T20:46:00.000-07:00This was so beautiful Cap'n. But the smaller things, that are closer to us, I believe can often be controlled. We can control how we perceive or react to things to an extent. You're doing it right now. Sometimes we get to help others, and sometimes we are not careful and hurt others. Then we can try to make amends. We try to take back control of our government through our words and actions, and if we ever give up trying to control that, we will be in sad shape. But for the most part I agree with you. Why try to control everything? Thanks, Joe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
